Why Telehealth?
Tula Therapy is not a brick & mortar office. Services are offered virtually only via TherapyNotes, a secure Electronic Health Record system. A lot of folks have come to really appreciate the comfort and flexibility of meeting virtually. If your initial reaction is, "no way!", that's okay. You're not alone in that: most of us feel some degree of uncertainty when it comes to trying something new.
Below, Natalie has come up with the "4 C's" of why virtual therapy is worth trying. Read on, and even if only part of you feels curious about giving it a try, give Tula a call. Natalie is happy to answer questions, share concerns, and walk alongside you as you determine what's best for you right now.

01
CONVENIENCE
Perhaps the most compelling reason for teletherapy. You can fit your session into your day without worrying about rushing from here to there, bad weather, or mild illness.

All you need is a good internet connection, a device that can connect to video, and some privacy. If you have concerns about any of these things, we can brainstorm ideas about how to make teletherapy work for you.
02
COMFORT
Therapy is an exercise in vulnerability. It's also one of the biggest and most important 'self-care' measures out there. Comfort items like a warm blanket, fuzzy slippers, a warmly scented candle, or a fresh cup of coffee are additional tools available from home that can help make the experience more comfortable, both mentally and physically.

03
CONNECTION
If COVID taught us anything, it's that even when we can't be physically together, technology has given us the power to remain connected in other ways. Natalie has had the experience of quickly pivoting to virtual services at the height of quarantine as well as the return of in-person services, masked up & distanced. Natalie was pleasantly surprised to learn that, with teens & adults, there was no notable compromise in the quality of services offered virtually.
04
COMPANIONSHIP
Cuddle up with your furry friends for your session. There's a reason pets are emotional support for so many. For some, pets increase social skills, self-esteem, and feelings of safety & comfort. They're like family, and if they help you feel grounded, bring 'em in.
